After stints at firms in New York and Dallas, Roger returned to Alabama in 2017 to join ArchitectureWorks. He was honored to become a partner in 2023. Highlights of his professional career include several nonprofit that mesh community needs with environmental sustainability. He prides himself on his commitment to his clients and his teammates and doesn’t mind strapping on a toolbelt and getting muddy. Roger graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Architecture and Interior Architecture, followed by a Master of Architecture from Cornell University. He completed his undergraduate thesis research on building with loblolly pine thinnings at Auburn’s Rural Studio, located in Hale County, Alabama. He can be found enjoying Birmingham’s many urban parks, and if he’s not outside barbequing, he is in his kitchen cooking or playing board games with friends.
