In 2001, as the Books-A-Million brand expanded across the Southeast, they began including Joe Muggs Cafés as part of each bookstore. They also expanded the brand into several 3,000 SF, stand alone, Joe Muggs Newsstands that combined an expanded café with an exhaustive selection of magazines, newspapers, and best sellers. A clean-lined, sensible approach to the design and aesthetics has been instrumental in maintaining the brand identity across a wide variety of store types and sizes.
