Katie received her Bachelor of Architecture from Auburn University in 2017 and moved to Birmingham after falling in love with the city during her time at Auburn’s Urban Studio program. One of her favorite parts of working in the field of architecture is developing empathetic and inclusive design solutions to serve everyone equally, and she loves working for a firm that shares her values and her love of Birmingham. Katie also serves as the Mentorship Director on the AIA Alabama Executive Committee, the Chair of the AIA Birmingham Design Awards Committee, and as a member of the AIA Birmingham Emerging Professionals Committee. She strives to use these positions to assist and empower other young architects across the state.
