Bruce Lanier, AIA, LEED AP

Partner

Bruce enjoys working through head-scratching projects, sometimes as Architect and sometimes as developer, and this has helped him cultivate a design-focused approach to working with clients on all aspects of project development from site acquisition, finance, design, construction and operations.  He loves getting things built, whether it is a 20,000 sf multi-disciplinary workspace like MAKEbhm or a renovation of a 1920’s historic home, it’s the process of figuring it out that gets him out of bed in the morning. He received a Bachelor of Architecture from Auburn University, where he also spent time at Rural Studio, an off-campus design-build program that gives architecture students a more hands-on educational experience while assisting an underserved population in West Alabama’s Black Belt region. Bruce brings that spirit of creativity and generosity to each project at ArchitectureWorks, as well as his other passions, MAKEbhm and Alabama Sawyer, a furniture and product company creating pieces from fallen trees. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three children as they renovate a 1923 historic home.
